This tour starts from the Pitadeniya entrance. of Sinharaja Rainforest. Along the trail, you will visit:
- Kakuna Ella waterfall – A quiet spot where you can relax and enjoy a natural bath.
- Pathan Oya Waterfall – Surrounded by untouched forest.
- Hanging Bridge – A simple but fun bridge inside the conservation center, great for photos and forest views.
This walk is peaceful but adventurous, and you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy nature, listen to the birds, and even dip in a cool stream if you like.
This tour starts from the Kurulugala entrance. of Sinharaja Rainforest. Along the trail, you will visit:
- Degaldoruwa Waterfall – Good for a refreshing swim.
- Twin Waterfalls – Two beautiful falls hidden deep inside the forest.
- Southern Plains – A peaceful open area with great views.
- Kurulugala Mountain Top – A little climb for a big view over the forest canopy.
This route is perfect for people who enjoy a bit of a hike with rewards like waterfalls and scenic views along the way.
Things to Know Before the Trip
- You’ll walk 7 to 9 hours deep inside the forest. It’s not easy, but very rewarding.
- If needed, we’ll arrange an extra guide for support and safety.
- We’ll give you everything you need to avoid leech bites—don’t worry.
- Bring your camera or phone—there’s a lot to see and photograph.
- Planning to bathe in the waterfall or stream? Please bring extra clothes.
- There’s also a natural fish therapy session on the way—totally free.
- Lunch is included and will be arranged by us.
- You’ll get to see rare birds, reptiles, mammals, and plants found only in Sri Lanka.
We’ll share stories and facts as we go, so you’ll also learn a lot about the Sinharaja ecosystem.
